  • Public Consultation On The Tax Treatment Of Expenses Of Travel And Subsistence For Employees And Office Holders

    The Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, T.D., has initiated a consultation process on the Tax Treatment of Expenses of Travel and Subsistence for Employees and Office Holders.Responses should be submitted by August 21 2015.

    The objective of this Consultation is to facilitate a review of the current law and practice in relation to the tax treatment of expenses of travel and subsistence for employees and office holders (hereinafter any reference to expenses of “travel” includes subsistence).

    The Office of the Revenue Commissioners will liaise with the Department of Finance in regard to matters arising in/from the Review which could give rise to the need for further examination of legislative provisions relating to the treatment of expenses.
